The distribution of electoral materials for today’s All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential primary elections has just been completed at the state Secretariat of the party.
Governor Hyacinth Alia who is the Benue central Returning Officer for the elections today has completed distribution to all the 23 Local Government Areas of the state.
The distribution of materials started as early as 6am.
The Governor had received electoral materials the evening of yesterday, around 20hrs at Government House and at around 10hrs, accordingly briefed and displayed the parcels before stakeholders at the State Party Secretariat.
Members of the State Working Committee of the party headed by Chief Benjamin Omale, all Local Government party chairmen, Local Government Executive chairmen among other stakeholders graced the occasion.
He called for a peaceful exercise, insisting that the party is bigger than any individual and members of the party must continue working together.
He charged Local Government Area Returning Officers to ensure the people have the chance to vote and choose the flag bearer for the party adding that the party has done so well by delivering for the people, and is ready to return power at all levels in the coming elections
