The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reportedly cleared Nigeria’s former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, and Bala Wunti, erstwhile Chief Upstream Investment Officer of NNPC Upstream Investment Management Services (NUIMS), as aspirants for the 2027 Bauchi State governorship race.
However, Senator Shehu Buba Umar was reportedly not cleared by the party.
Unconfirmed sources cited security concerns as one of the reasons behind the senator’s exclusion from the clearance process.
